Dream team band R+R=NOW—featuring Robert Glasper on keyboards, Terrace Martin on synthesizer and vocoder, Christian Scott aTunde Adjuah on trumpet, Derrick Hodge on bass, Taylor McFerrin on synthesizer and beatbox, and Justin Tyson on drums—have been touring across the world since the June release their acclaimed debut album Collagically Speaking. The band has announced two upcoming California shows next month at The Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles (September 17) and The Regency Ballroom in San Francisco (September 18).
Glasper will also be presenting R+R=NOW as part of his momentous month-long October residency at the Blue Note Jazz Club in New York City. Running October 2-28, the 24 night, 48 show residency will feature tributes to Miles Davis and Mulgrew Miller, and collaborations with Bilal, Chris Dave, Rodney Green, Derrick Hodge, Christian McBride, Mike Moreno, Nicholas Payton, Kendrick Scott, Walter Smith III, Burniss Travis II, and more to be announced.
