“Rosanne Cash has been making great records for forty years, but she’s never played or written better music than she’s doing right now.”—NPR MUSIC
NPR Music features the pre-eminent singer-songwriter Rosanne Cash on the latest installment of their popular Tiny Desk concert series. Watch Cash perform songs from her acclaimed new album She Remembers Everything (“She Remembers Everything” “The Only Thing Worth Fighting For” “Everyone But Me”), as well as “A Feather’s Not A Bird” from her triple GRAMMY-winning album The River & The Thread. Cash’s legendary career is explored this week in Episode 7 of the PBS series Country Music directed and produced by Ken Burns, which airs September 24 on PBS and is available to stream now.
Cash is on tour in Canada this week and will be performing as the host of the Johnny Cash Heritage Festival next month in Dyess, Arkansas, the National Heritage Site of her father’s boyhood home. Her 2019 touring schedule will culminate in three more performances of CASH AND COODER ON CASH: THE MUSIC OF JOHNNY CASH, a heartfelt tribute to her father presented in collaboration with the visionary artist, producer, and iconic guitarist Ry Cooder. After debuting the tribute at a series of sold-out shows in San Francisco last year, Cash and Cooder re-united for performances at the Chicago Theatre and Nashville’s famed Ryman Auditorium earlier this year, and will present concerts in Boston, New York, and Philadelphia later this Fall. See below for a full list of tour dates or visit www.rosannecash.com/tour.
She Remembers Everything was recorded in Portland, Oregon and New York City with producers Tucker Martine and John Leventhal. The album presents ten new songs, all written or co-written by Cash, and features contributions from Elvis Costello, Kris Kristofferson, Colin Meloy, and Sam Phillips.
