DOMi & JD BECK’s debut album NOT TiGHT released on Anderson .Paak’s new label APESHIT in partnership with Blue Note Records features the duo—keyboardist DOMi Louna and drummer JD Beck—with a rollcall of special guests which includes .Paak, Snoop Dogg, Busta Rhymes, Herbie Hancock, Thundercat, Mac DeMarco, and Kurt Rosenwinkel.
Norah Jones’ first-ever holiday album I Dream Of Christmas is a delightful and comforting collection of timeless seasonal favorites and affecting originals produced by Leon Michels and featureing Brian Blade on drums, Tony Scherr and Nick Movshon on bass, Russ Pahl on pedal steel guitar, Marika Hughes on cello, Dave Guy on trumpet, Raymond Mason on trombone, and Michels on saxophone, flute, and percussion.
Saxophonist Melissa Aldana made her Blue Note debut with 12 Stars, a stunning album of original compositions that was produced by Lage Lund and features the Santiago, Chile-born, Brooklyn-based artist’s quintet with Lund on guitar, Sullivan Fortner on piano, Pablo Menares on bass, and Kush Abadey on drums.
